120 min. Floral Watercolor. Artists of every experience level will get gems of wisdom and tips to apply to their own watercolor painting.
Thinking like an oil painter and sculptor, Betty "carves" depth out of her painting and uses expressive "dancing" bruchwork. Betty demonstrates and shares her thoughts on:
* Starting with the darks
* Getting energy into your subject
* Directing the eye through the painting with subtle color adjustments
Review
Betty Carr's video, Capturing Limited Light, is like being in one of her informative workshops. Her use of light, both color and white of the paper, to maintain the contrast makes her subjects jump off the paper. Her vivid dark color combinations, especially her greens, are magnificent! I was in one of her workshops five years ago and still use some of her color recipes, especially her greens. She is so natural in the video, you feel she is in your studio talking just to you.
