Low-lying areas of water-logged flat terrain, swamplands, like the Everglades, are home to countless species of animal life, some of which are depicted in this intriguing activity book for young ecologists. Natural science illustrator Dianne Gaspas-Ettl has realistically rendered 39 full-color sticker images of such tropical swampland creatures as a crocodile, an alligator, a green heron, great egret, zebra butterfly, American white pelican, green tree frog, Eastern coral snake, mud skipper, roseate spoonbill, river otter and double-crested cormorant-all of which can be applied to an 18 1/2" x 12 1/4" laminated backdrop depicting shallow stretches of water filled with shrubs and mangrove trees. The reusable stickers let young nature-lovers create exciting scene after scene while learning about swampland environments and their inhabitants.
Dover Original. 39 full-color stickers on 2 plates. Full-color background scene on inside covers. 9 1/4" x 12 1/4" Saddlewired. September 1997, Paperbd.
