As a painting medium, acrylic colour has been increasingly appreciated for its particular merits: quick drying, use and clean up with water, versatility of technique and ease of use.

Acrylics can be used straight from the tube to create impasto effects and build volume, like an oil colour, or can be diluted with water to use for water colour or poster colour techniques. Once dry, acrylic colours are waterproof and durable.
