by Sir Edward Coley Burne-Jones
Inspired and influenced by antique and classical art, the works of Botticelli, and especially by Dante Gabriel Rossetti, to whom he was at one time apprenticed, English painter Edward Burne-Jones (1833-1898) chose, as his favorite subjects, romantic legends and allegories. His paintings were self-consciously aesthetic and dreamlike, often featuring a distinctive kind of ethereal female beauty. Sixteen of his most famous works have been reproduced for this lovely collection of fine art stickers, among them The Garden of Hesperides, Astrologia, Saint George and the Dragon, Pan and Psyche, Love Among the Ruins, Tree of Forgiveness, The Sleeping Princess, and 9 more. Ideal for adding an exquisite touch to stationery and gift packages, these lovely stickers will lend a decorative accent to almost any flat surface.
