Patchwork for beginners is traditionally square -- square as in right angles and square as in dull.
The solution? Square pieces that are printed to look like two triangles in contrasting fabrics. Quilting comes with a huge piece of cotton fabric printed with triangle squares and border strips in a palette of custom-designed patterns that work marvelously together. Just cut along the dotted lines to get perfectly sized fabric pieces. A special deck of 48 design cards makes it addictively easy to arrange colorful triangle squares in countless pleasing patterns. The book’s patchwork projects include toss pillows, sachets, floor pillows, a wall hanging, table mats and a cool shoulder bag. And, speaking of cool, we’ve also included a pressing tool that flattens seams nicely without a hot iron. At last, quilting for beginners made delightfully simple and simply delightful.
